EDUKASI PENGEMBANGAN SOFT SKILL DAN PERENCANAAN KARIR BAGI SISWA/I SMK NEGERI 8 PANDEGLANG

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) development with the theme of soft skill development education and career planning for students of State Vocational High School (SMK) 8 Pandeglang was carried out as an effort to improve students' readiness in facing the competition of the world of work and further education. This activity aims to provide students with an understanding of the importance of communication skills, teamwork, and self-confidence as part of self-development and future career preparation. The activity method is carried out through interactive seminars, discussions, communication simulations, and self-reflection that actively involve students in the learning process. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding of the importance of soft skill development and career planning after participating in the educational activities. In addition, students become more confident in expressing opinions, understand their potential, and begin to have an idea of ​​the career goals they want to achieve. Education on soft skill development and career planning provides positive benefits in improving students' mental readiness, interpersonal skills, and motivation to face the challenges of the world of work. This activity is expected to be able to help students of State Vocational High School 8 Pandeglang become more adaptive, productive individuals, and ready to compete in the era of globalization.
