This Community Service Program (PPKM) is an initiative aimed at broadening students’ horizons by educating them on the importance of financial literacy and managing their allowance through financial record-keeping. However, based on initial observations, students at the Muhammadiyah Vocational High School (SMK) in Cilegon still face various challenges in understanding financial literacy and managing their allowance, such as a tendency toward excessive spending, a lack of income and expense tracking, and limited understanding of the concept of saving and distinguishing between needs and wants. The methods used in this activity included a presentation on the importance of financial literacy, followed by a post-test, then hands-on practice using the CaPin (Smart Records) method in Microsoft Excel, a Q&A session, and an open discussion. The results of the Community Service activity showed that students began to understand the importance of financial record-keeping, as evidenced by their participation in answering the questions posed, and began to apply the CaPin (Smart Records) method for managing their daily pocket money. Thus, the Community Service (PKM) activity was deemed successful in improving financial literacy among high school students and highlighting the importance of tracking income and expenses for a bright future. The event took place on April 23, 2026, and was attended by 25 students for approximately three hours it had a positive impact, particularly in terms of hands-on practice.
